The majority of the dogs we rescue, mostly breeder dogs, have lived their entire lives in less than ideal conditions so will need to be socialized, house and leash trained. Most have never lived in a house, walked on a leash, had a treat or sat in a lap. For many of them, their feet have never touched the ground after living for years on wire until they arrive at our main facility where they are evaluated, groomed and given vet care. Most of these dogs are not socialized and need to be cornered to be picked up, so are not suitable for people with physical disabilities or suffer from PTSD. They need folks who will make them the center of their world and help them learn to trust before even attempting to train.  Please do not apply if you do not meet the requirements of the dogs we rescue.  However, they will learn with time, love, patience and most of all, commitment. You must have an ample supply of all of these to reap the rewards of watching these very special dogs become your wonderful companion. We state any known health issues, all are altered unless there is a medical reason not to, which we will advise, any known medical issues addressed, are microchipped, are UTD on all vaccines and have been checked out by at least one veterinarian, usually two. We do not guarantee the health of any of our rescued dogs. Please do not waste your time or ours if you are not prepared to adopt within 2 weeks and you are not willing to pick the dog up at its location. Hi! My name is Luna, and I am a very special French bulldog baby girl who is 1 year old, and I weigh 16 pounds. I was born prematurely and sold when I was 8 weeks old to someone who was not familiar with my breed and did not have the resources to care for me properly. They eventually lost their apartment and we lived in a motel. I was sold again but returned due to my issues. They thought I was blind and deaf. Well, a Good Samaritan reached out to BRAS and here I am. Dogtor says that I am not blind nor deaf, but I do have a neurological issue that the messages from my eyes don’t get to my brain properly. As a result, I can have an ungainly gait so I must have a quiet, stable home with full-time parents where I will be the center of their world. I love to be touched and petted and can use pee pads. I will never be “normal”, but I can certainly enjoy a good quality of life with the right parents. I have a special adoption fee of $595. If you have been waiting for a sweet Frenchie baby, please ask for me on your application to Love, Luna 021922-27  May 17, 2022, 6:39 pm
